Leap (also known as Sword Jump) is an ability exclusive to the Swordwrath, introduced in Stick War: Legacy and later appears in Stick War: Saga.
Description[]
The Swordwrath leaps forward with sword raised overhead and performs a powerful downward swing. In games where it is present, AI-controlled Swordwrath will sometimes use Leap when first engaging an enemy in combat.
Stick War: Legacy[]
Leap deals damage equal to 250% of the Swordwrath's attack damage. To execute Leap with a user-controlled Swordwrath, the player must swing the control stick a quarter-circle forward and press the Attack button.
If you are playing on PC, you can activate leap by pressing F
Stick War III[]
Leap now deals a fixed 12 damage and stuns the target. It now has a dedicated button for user-controlled Swordwrath.
Notes[]
Stick War: Legacy[]
- Slowing the Swordwrath mid-leap with the Ice skin will extend the leap's duration and cause it to travel farther; the user-control freeze will pause both the leap's duration and the Swordwrath's movement.
- In the past you could chain leaps. This was removed in an update.
Stick War: Saga[]
- Because the Leap can stun enemies, it can be useful offensively to prevent enemies from retreating or defensively to prevent units from chasing your own units. Due to its stunning, you can use it to prevent enemies, particularly heavy units, from attacking for a short while, giving a slight advantage for the Swordwrath.
- The leap will still make the Swordwrath jump even while still under user-controlling, which can make you miss your hit.
- The Leap has a cooldown of 30 seconds, meaning it cannot be spammed as much as it could in Stick War: Legacy.
- This can be alleviated by having multiple Swordwrath.
