The Tower is a game mechanic in Stick Empires, Stick War II: Order Empire, and Stick War III. It can be captured for extra resources and perks.
Mechanics[]
Stick War 2 and Stick Empires[]
The Tower starts out neutral, but can be captured by a player by having a unit near it for a short duration. If the other player also has a unit nearby, the capture progress is paused until only one player has a unit in range. A red progress bar under the Tower shows the capture progress, and a distinct sound effect plays when the Tower is captured. The progress bar and sound effect are visible and audible through the Fog of War.
Every 4 seconds, 20 Gold and Mana are given to the player who controls the tower. Controlling the Tower also activates the Tower Spawn upgrade if it has been researched, allowing the Tower to spawn ghostly units to attack the enemy.
Towers look like obelisks, with gold at the bottom and grey at its tip, and appear on the center of every map.
Stick War III[]
Tower capture functions similarly to the previous game, but progress is now shown by the Tower rising out of the ground. The stone atop the Tower becomes blue when held by the player and red when held by the enemy. A text message is shown onscreen in addition to the sound effect when the Tower is captured, or when the level of the Tower Bonus increases.
Tower bonuses now have 4 distinct levels, with each level increasing the player’s Gold and Crystal income by 10% (granted as bonus Gold and Crystals by the Tower when a Miner drops off resources), reducing the player’s training times by 10%, and allowing Tower Spawn upgrades (Spearton Spawn and Spirit Deads) to spawn 1 additional unit. Holding the Tower for enough time uninterrupted will increase the level of Tower bonuses granted to the player. If the player reaches level 4 Tower Bonus, the tower will strike the enemy Statue with a lightning bolt every 60 seconds (starting 60 seconds after level 4 is reached), dealing 200 damage. Captured towers now grant vision.
The Tower is now constructed out of sand-colored bricks, with an angular stone at its tip. When summoning Tower Spawn units, the bricks disassemble and levitate into the air as the unit(s) are spawned. Additionally, Towers do not appear in most Ambush missions.
The following cards interact with the Tower while the player controls it:
- Secret Tunnel: Causes newly-trained units to spawn at the Tower.
- Spearton Spawn: The Tower periodically spawns uncontrollable Spearton Spirits.
- Spirit Deads: The Tower periodically spawns uncontrollable Spirit Deads.
- Tesla Coil: Allows the Tower to temporarily strike enemies with electric bolts and prevents tower from being captured.
Trivia[]
- Shadowrath in Stealth will not help with capturing the tower
